Believe is a simple gospel song that introduces people to the way to become saved. We turn to Jesus and believe he died for us to set us right with Yahweh or as most of us know Him -- God. Jesus is the lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world. These are old words that sometimes, in their repetition, lose their meaning. Jesus gave up his life in exchange for ours. Because of him, we are justified eternally and become heirs of all that is in God's kingdom. We have to really understand all this, and God needs to help us with it. So, he sends the Holy Spirit to teach us what it means. It is a free gift for all who believe in Jesus Christ. We are born into the kingdom of God by an act of grace. We are sustained in that kingdom by grace. Grace and favour are given to us because, and only because we believe.
