I Journey Eastward is a song about the return of Jesus Christ to take his bride to himself and thereafter be with her forever. The bride gently migrates to the eastern shores of Canada to await the coming of her beloved Lord and God. She awaits this day with patient longing and blessed hope. She will be taken up in the air by him and changed into an immortal - forever after to be with him. She wanders along the ocean's shore wondering when the day will come, sensing that it may not be as soon as she wishes. However, the coming of her Lord captures all her attention and all her heart.
